How We Keep NHL Parlay Betting Straight

Same game parlays involve correlated markets, so transparency in how we handle odds, settlement, and leg restrictions matters. Here's how we run it on our end.

Real-Time Odds Feed

Parlay odds update continuously from puck drop through the final buzzer. We don't lock a stale line — if the market moves before you confirm, the ticket reflects the current price.

Leg Eligibility Rules Published

We display which prop and game-market combinations are permitted in the SGP builder before you commit. Restricted combinations are flagged, not silently dropped from your slip.

Settlement Transparency

Each leg settles individually and the payout timeline is visible in your account history. If a leg is voided — scratched player, postponed period — we show the revised odds and payout on the same ticket.

State-by-State Access

SGP markets are available in eligible states where our sportsbook operates under local law. Your account automatically shows the markets available in your state at login.

How We Structure NHL Same Game Parlays

An NHL same game parlay lets you combine multiple legs from the same game — think a goalie saves prop, the first-period total, and the puck line — into one ticket with a combined payout. On our sportsbook, you select the game, open the SGP builder, and each eligible market snaps in automatically with correlated-leg rules applied. Not every combination is allowed:

heavily correlated legs, like a player scoring and his team winning on the puck line, may be restricted or carry adjusted odds. We show which legs are eligible in real time as you build. Players in New York accessing via mobile can pull up any live NHL slate, add props from the player stats tab, and see the running parlay odds update

with each addition. Odds come from our pricing feed, not from a static board, so they reflect current line movement through puck drop.

NHL Same Game Parlay Terms Explained

New to same game parlays or just want to know exactly what a term means before you place your ticket? These are the definitions that come up most when betting NHL SGPs.

What is a same game parlay (SGP)?

A same game parlay combines two or more betting legs from a single game into one ticket. All legs must win for the parlay to pay out, and odds multiply across each selection.

What does 'puck line' mean?

The puck line is NHL's version of a point spread, set at 1.5 goals. Betting the favorite means they must win by two or more; the underdog can lose by one and still cover.

What is a player prop in NHL betting?

A player prop is a wager on an individual skater or goalie's performance — shots on goal, points, saves, or assists — independent of which team wins the game.

What does 'correlated legs' mean in an SGP?

Correlated legs are selections that are statistically linked, like a high-scoring player and his team winning big. Books may restrict or reprice these legs because they aren't independent outcomes.

What is a period total bet?

A period total is a wager on the combined goals scored in a specific period — first, second, or third — rather than the full game. It can be added as a leg in an SGP where eligible.

What does 'leg voided' mean on my parlay ticket?

A voided leg is removed from the parlay — usually because a player was scratched or a market was suspended. The remaining legs stay active and odds are recalculated without the voided selection.

Common NHL Same Game Parlay Questions

These are questions we hear from people building their first NHL SGP or trying to get more out of an existing ticket strategy.

You can typically add between two and eight legs from the same game, depending on the slate and available markets. The SGP builder shows the maximum for each game as you add selections.

Live SGP legs are available on select games once the puck is in play. Markets update in real time, so odds shift with score and game state — lock your ticket before the next stoppage to secure the current price.

Overtime outcomes count for full-game markets like moneyline and puck line. Period-specific props settle on regulation results only. Your ticket details will show which legs are OT-inclusive.

Heavily correlated legs are restricted to keep pricing fair. If a combination is blocked, the builder flags the conflicting leg so you can swap it out rather than rebuild the whole ticket from scratch.

Each leg's odds are converted to a decimal, then multiplied together. The SGP builder shows a running combined odds figure as you add legs, so you can see the projected payout before confirming.

Early cash-out is available on eligible SGP tickets where state rules and game conditions allow it. The option appears in your open bets if the ticket qualifies — the offered amount reflects remaining leg risk at that moment.
